Phase two begins

Presidential search begins researching and sourcing candidates

""

The presidential search process has now moved into the second phase of four to name the 24th president of Walla Walla University. Over the next several weeks, the university’s search firm partner, FaithSearch Partners, will be conducting deep dive research to identify potential prospects and referral sources. They will soon be launching outreach activities to contact these individuals, along with the dozens of nominations already received from WWU stakeholders. Phase two will also include confidentially screening, evaluating, and interviewing qualified candidates with the goal of presenting a slate of semi-finalists to the Presidential Search Committee in April.

In phase one, FaithSearch Partners met with more than 130 individuals in 15 different stakeholder groups to document expectations, needs, and other information that will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating candidates. The input from these meetings was synthesized into a comprehensive assessment report for the Presidential Search Committee.

Nominations for presidential candidates are still accepted and should be sent directly to Doug Duffield, a 1994 graduate of WWU and senior vice president of FaithSearch Partners, at dduffield@faithsearchpartners.com, or Ed Fry, president of FaithSearch Partners, at edfry@faithsearchpartners.com. Nominations are encouraged by March 15, 2024.
